On Thursday afternoon just after lunch, the Charleroi Fire District (22,33,47) and RIT 11 was dispatched for a stove on fire at 575 Isabella Ave. in the Boro of North Charleroi.  Eng. 22-1 called in route and arrived within 2 minutes of dispatch, confirming a fire in the kitchen with heavy smoke throughout the structure.  Chief 22 (Castner Jr.) had command and requested Eng. 22-2 to lay in from the plug at Orange and Isabella Ave to Eng. 22-1.  Eng. 22-1's crew stretched a pre-connect to the kitchen to knock the fire down, which was contained to the oven.  Positive pressure ventilation was used to clear the structure of the smoke, which revealed a good containment, and minor damage to the structure.  Fallowfield and Charleroi's crews assisted with overhaul, and clearing up the scene, while Bentleyville was directed to Lock #4's station for stand-by.  Crews remained on scene for approx. 1 hour, while no injuries were reported.
