This evening station 22 was dispatched to assist Fallowfield Twp. on a barn fire on Kenndy Rd. Eng. 22 was currently standing by in Fayette Co. 4 and was diverted to the scene along with Attack 22 and Truck 22 from the station. Crews arrived on scene with a fully involved barn fire with a large brush fire spreading up the hill. Several area departments were called in to assist in containing the brush fire, due to the low humidity and strong winds. Thanks to West Brownsville for the station fill. Crews operated for approximately 5 hours before returning.

Engine and Truck 22 along with our first alarm was dispatched this evening for a electrical fire in the 300 block of Pennsylvania Ave.The engine crew was quickly able to mitigate the hazard and scaled back the alarm to on scene units. No injuries were reported and units cleared in approximately 30 minutes.

Great job to all crews that worked the Nathan Goff Apartment fire today (22,33,47,17,4,81-2,63, Mon Valley EMS). Originally dispatched as a smell of something burning, light smoke coming from a light fixture on the 6th floor. After investigating found to be a working apartment fire on the 4th floor. There were no visible signs of a fire nor did the buildings fire alarm activate until the door to the 4th floor apartment was opened. The Engine and Truck crews were dispatched shortly after lunch today to the old oil reserve plant for a outside oil tank fire.Contractors were on site dismantling a believed to be empty tank when the residual contents had caught fire. Crews arrived on scene and had the fire under control within 15 minutes.Assisting were Mon Valley EMS, Charleroi Regional Police and the DEP.

Water is on a continual downward slope on the Monongahela River this evening. We experienced moderate flooding along Monongahela Ave & Water Street in the Boro. late lastnight and early this morning. We helped pump out several basements and during the rise we assisted homeowners moving personal belongings to a safe haven. This evening we were alerted for a vehicle accident, vehicle over a hillside in the 800 block of Center Ave. The location of the vehicle ended up being in the parking lot of Nathan Goff Apts, with the vehicle into a guardrail. Scene safety was established and all hazards were were cleaned up. 22A-1 on scene with command.
This evening we were dispatched for a gas odor at Nathan Goff Apartments on the first floor. Our crew investigated an odor that was evident; a small gasoline leak was found in the maintenance room. The leak was contained and cleaned up, we vented the building and all readings were negative, we remained on scene for approximately 1.2hrs.
